In This Role, You Will:
- Lead and Grow the Team: Manage and mentor a talented group of stormwater professionals in Central Texas, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.
- Shape Regional Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to craft and execute a long-term strategy for the growth and development of KFA’s Stormwater Practice in Central Texas.
- Deliver Complex Projects: Lead the design and delivery of high-impact municipal stormwater projects, including drainage master planning, flood mitigation studies, storm drainage improvements, and channel restoration initiatives.
- Drive Business Development: Cultivate client partnerships, direct project pursuits, and guide proposals, contracts, and presentations.
- Promote Technical Excellence: Apply advanced expertise in H&H modeling tools (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks ICM) to ensure innovative project delivery that meets client needs.
- Texas PE license and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience delivering municipal stormwater projects, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership or project management role.
- Proven success working with Central Texas municipalities, especially the City of Austin.
- Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools, such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and Civil 3D or MicroStation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and teams.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing City of Austin Watershed Protection Department (WPD) projects.
- Expertise in FEMA floodplain modeling, floodplain mapping, and TCEQ water quality design.
- Experience with advanced modeling software (XPSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, HEC-RAS 2D).

- Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) designation is a strong plus.
