Your impact:

• Work on high-profile and challenging transportation projects
• Design and develop plans, technical specifications, concepts, and cost estimates for traffic signal, signing & pavement marking, roadway lighting, roundabouts, pedestrian/bicycle improvements/facilities and safety projects
• Manage and maintain project documentation
• Collaborate with a dynamic team to complete project requirements
• Preparing all types of intersection and arterial traffic operational/safety studies, including field reviews, crash analysis, identification of safety deficiencies, developing solutions to alleviate identified deficiencies, and follow-through until implementation
• Preparation of access management and traffic management plans

Who you are:

• BS in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
• 5 years of demonstrated traffic engineering experience
• Experience with MicroStation is required and OpenRoads designer is a plus
• Experience in Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) is a plus
• TDOT or KYTC experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of HCS, SYNCRHO, CORSIM and VISSIM  and at a minimum be familiar with TDOT and/or KYTC Design Standards
• Experience in Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) is a plus

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
