Your Impact

  • Provides leadership for serving clients and delivering work within an assigned geography.
  • Provides supervision of design and filed staff across the state. Provides the cross functional (business development, technology, staffing, and project delivery) perspective for assigned staff.
  • Responsible for allocating department resources, including budget responsibility.
  • Accountable for staffing and project portfolio performance.
  • Works with the region's Operations Manager and Regional Manager to assign appropriate staff for business development teams, strategy, and pursuits.
  • Leads the daily operations and is responsible for financial results.
  • In alignment with the region’s growth strategy, develops and implements the profit center’s growth strategy and business plan.
  • Will manage projects and deliver technical work.
  • Develops and administers ongoing processes, procedures, and associated budgets/timelines
  • Contributes to the motivation and development of a team through professional leadership


Who You Are

  • 10 years and deep knowledge of transportation engineering and adjacent disciplines
  • Professional Engineering license in KY preferred
  • Understands how your business integrates across the organization and impacts Lochner
  • Understands industry practices and competitors
  • Analyzes complex issues and uses sound judgment and experience to develop solutions for a wide range of activities and areas
  • Provides input to development of strategies to ensure regional efficiencies, build and grow regional business and ensures successful projects are delivered to clients

Work Environment

The physical requirements must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stoop, crawl, and lifting. The employee must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 20 pounds. Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
