What You’ll Do:
- Lead Review Processes: Manage the review and quality assurance of H&H models, plans, and specifications, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and Mentor Teams: Assign review tasks, verify work quality, and mentor staff to support professional growth and deliver consistent results.
- Collaborate Across Disciplines: Coordinate with transportation, structural, geotechnical, utilities, and environmental teams for complex projects.
- Advocate for Clients: Represent public agency clients by ensuring project deliverables meet functionality, budget, and schedule goals, while resolving constructability challenges.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Verify that deliverables align with FEMA, TCEQ, TxDOT, and other local, state, and federal stormwater regulations.
- Texas PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months) and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- 10 years of experience in stormwater engineering, with a focus on H&H modeling, transportation drainage design, and construction support.
- Proven ability to manage review teams and oversee PS&E deliverables.
- Proficiency in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), and familiarity with Civil 3D or MicroStation ORD.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate across disciplines, mentor staff, and lead internal review processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging with clients, teams, and contractors.
- Experience working with public agencies such as TxDOT, cities, counties, or RMAs.
- Expertise in FEMA modeling, floodplain management, and TCEQ water quality standards.
- Experience with advanced modeling software such as XPSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, or HEC-RAS 2D.
- Experience with ORD Drainage and Utilities (DU).
- Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) designation is a strong plus.
