Lock 34 Bar & Grill in Lockport, NY is looking for talented, experienced, line cooks to join our kitchen. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, hard-working, reliable, creative, and enjoys the passion of delivering great dishes. We are ramping up for our busy patio season and are hiring immediately.
Responsibilities
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Prep vegetables, prepare sauces and other food preparation.
- Cook menu items within standards, follow recipes, and sanitation practices.
- Maintain portion control by using set utensils per station.
- Cleaning and general upkeep of equipment, organization of walk-in cooler, opening and closing of kitchen.
- Able of lifting up to 50 lbs., putting away stock and rotation of goods and food.
Qualifications
- 2 yrs experience in full restaurant kitchen. Hand stretched, brick oven pizza experience a plus
- Able to meet all scheduling commitments. Reliable transportation.
- Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work as a team to meet those needs. Able to follow direction and communicate efficiently to achieve team goals.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization.
- Good attitude and demeanor, enjoy cooking with fresh ingredients, and a likely minded team.
