POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client is seeking to add an experienced, results-driven manufacturing Quality Manager , to their Plant Management team in Rochester, New Hampshire, which happens to be part of their fastest-growing business segment. This role reports directly to the Rochester Plant General Manager with a dotted reporting line to the Global Quality Management team.

The successful candidates will oversee the Quality Management System ensuring alignment with ISO 9001 standards, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and executes corrective and preventive actions across the facility. In addition, the Quality Manager collaborates with various departments, acts as a customer liaison, conducts internal quality audits, and mentors / develops a team of direct reports that comprise the Quality department team. In aggregate, the Quality Manager ensures excellence in performance and compliance with best-in-class manufacturing quality standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the effective operation of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Lead the annual Management Review Meeting and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote quality improvements across the facility and collaborate with R&D, Production, and QC on customer returns.
• Investigate root causes of quality issues and assist with supplier evaluations and customer surveys.
• Coordinate customer visits, support material sorting, and liaise with customer quality teams.
• Review and authorize plant work orders, reclassify nonconforming products, and resolve quality issues with Production and Finishing teams.
• Mentor the Quality team, collaborate with HR on job descriptions and training, and oversee internal audits.
• Act as the liaison for customer audits, ensuring compliance with product standards.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and conduct capability studies for R&D.
• Foster a positive team environment, enforce quality policies, and take on special projects as assigned.
