What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long-term Substitute 6th Gr. Social Studies Teacher position at Locke Middle School?
We are seeking a long-term substitute for 6th-grade social studies until the end of the school year. The daily rate of pay is $120.00.
The job responsibilities include:
• A strong background knowledge in teaching reading and writing.
• Use various methods of instruction to differentiate for all students.
• Prepare lesson plans, homework, assignments, tests, etc. to support curriculum goals.
• Develop classroom standards to maintain student discipline and behavior.
• Communicate regularly with parents on student concerns and academic performance.
• Work with a team to determine student learning and behavioral concerns.
• Establish learning goals and objectives.
• Perform all duties in a professional manner.
• Actively support a positive school culture for all members of the community.
• Plan intensely and thoughtfully and collaborate with other content area and grade level teachers.

Preferred candidate should be licensed as a Social Studies teacher with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
