Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in both residential and commercial settings.
Duties
- Assist journeyman/journeywoman electricians with the installation of wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to blueprints and schematics.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints and construction site plans to understand project requirements.
- Help with the troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems, including high voltage applications.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Participate in maintaining a clean and organized work environment at construction sites.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during all tasks.
- Gain experience in using testing equipment such as voltmeters to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components is preferred.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and understanding schematics is a plus.
- Experience or willingness to learn about high voltage systems is beneficial.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely on construction sites.
