Duties
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various tasks.
- Conduct tests using voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with senior electricians on job sites, learning best practices and techniques.
- Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines during all installations and repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- A strong interest in pursuing a career as an electrician.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems; experience as an industrial electrician is a plus.
- Familiarity with reading schematics and blueprints is preferred.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively.
- Willingness to learn about low voltage and high voltage applications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials when necessary.
