Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and experience in a factory or assembly line setting. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production process by assisting with the fabrication and assembly of products, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the fabrication and assembly of products according to specifications.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Support warehouse operations, including inventory management and material handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Operate forklifts as needed for moving materials within the facility (if certified).
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or similar environment is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for understanding equipment and processes.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and assembly line operations is highly desirable.
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus; certification may be required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
