As a Second-Line Manager, you'll lead a fast-growing team of associate managers and engineers that are responsible for the creation of software and hardware simulations for satellite systems. Some of your day to day responsibilities will include:• Overall leadership and project management of multiple Tb&S Engineering team• Accountability for the technical, cost, and schedule aspects and ultimate completion of the Tb&S deliverables• Providing direction to teams based on general policies and management guidance and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget• Coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions• Responsible for Proposal preparation and submissions, collaborating with customers, proposal team and chief engineers to ensure technical aspects are clear and provide an accurate basis of estimates.• A leader of leaders to help develop career paths and build the next generation of engineersBasic Qualifications:Basic Qualifications :- Technical background in software engineering including experience with managing or developing/integrating embedded systems- Experience with software planning and execution throughout the requirements, development, design, build, test, and integration phases supporting multiple customers- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers and build effective relationships- Demonstrated ability to integrate cost, schedule and technical constraints- Ability to develop create solutions to difficult problems often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data on a fast paced schedule- Experience with cost account management principles, techniques, and processes- Successful candidate must demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership experience including a commitment to the Full Spectrum attributes of shaping the future, building effective relationships, energizing the team, delivering results, and modeling personal excellence, integrity and accountability.Desired Skills:- Technical and leadership experience within simulation, modeling and infrastructure systems- Significant experience with design, development, integration, test, with broad based and in-depth knowledge of space, missile and/or launch systems- Experience with software and/or hardware proposals- Experience with Software Development Processes using Agile methodology- Previous Leadership roleSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: Top Secret with an investigation within 6 yearsOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per weekPay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $123,500 - $236,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
