Lockton Re is searching for a Reinsurance Associate Broker to support our Facultative Segment. We are looking for an individual that is client focused, detail oriented, maintains a sense of urgency and can communicate clearly and effectively. The successful individual will serve as a partner to Brokers and Senior Brokers, providing superior support regarding all certificates and key accounts. The candidate will also provide high quality service to agents, companies, and internal team.
Facultative Reinsurance Associate Broker Responsibilities
Client Account Support:
- Facilitate flow of information from agents and underwriters, whether to internal broking team, internal client services teams and/or clients
- Respond promptly to all requests from internal team, (re)insurers or clients regarding account servicing issues
- Interact regularly with brokers, clients, and underwriters regarding certificates; responding to queries and concerns with a prompt resolution
- Accurately explain coverages and liabilities to agents and/or clients
- Provide and/or assist with quotations and binders for new business, renewals and endorsements
- Proactively initiate and coordinate renewal activity on assigned accounts
Documentation Management:
- Analyze certificate, endorsement, and audit requests to complete these requests on behalf of the Broker.
- Timely initiation of necessary corrections to ensure accuracy of dates, coverage, signatures, commission, premium, attachments, etc.
- Initiate cancellation and non-renewal notices according to statutory and contractual requirements
- Maintain organizational control of all deadlines, follow-ups and deliverables for certificates, endorsements, regulatory reporting or other pertinent items (whether internal or from outside sources)
- Coordinate with client services team on a regular basis to ensure information is correct and accurate for invoicing
Support for Team Advancement:
- Maintain current knowledge of the (re)insurance industry and sales ideas through regular attendance of workshops, seminars and/or formal continuing education
- Aid in process support for discovery of new facultative management systems and process
- Champion digital efficiencies and workflow enhancements to stakeholders
- Engage with broking teams and leadership on other ad hoc projects, as needed

Facultative Reinsurance Associate Broker Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years general insurance experience, and/or experience in a technical support role within an insurance-related business
- 2- or 4-year degree desirable, or, equivalent work experience
- Must be able to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance certificates
- Extensive knowledge of (re)insurance and processes is a plus
- Possesses ability to make independent decisions with minimal or no supervision
- Can prioritize tasks while maintaining high level of quality, even in a changing environment
- Possesses good leadership skills to influence other colleagues in a positive manner
- Committed to good communication, both verbally and in writing
- Able to work extended hours when necessary
- Able to effectively use Microsoft Office suite of products
- Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of client and company information
- Legally able to work in the United States
