Lockton’s Southeast series is looking to expand our ability to support our growing business by adding a
Financial/Actuarial Analyst to our analytics team. We are seeking a candidate that will support our high level of
financial analytics delivery across all clients and prospects. This role is designed to develop a career with a core
skillset in Financial and Actuarial Consulting around our Employee Benefits practice. The candidate will
collaborate with other financial team members to deliver analysis focused on the following: tracking monthly
budgets and claims performance, outlining our clients’ core business strategy, and projecting future health and
welfare costs using core actuarial principles. A high performing and successful Analyst will provide great
customer service and support to the broader client team.
A Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Proclivity to learn the usage of Microsoft Excel and visualization software, preferably Power BI.
- An eagerness and enthusiasm to learn and be a part of the Specialty team
- An entrepreneurial & proactive spirit, with a desire to learn the analytical practices which support the
core brokerage process and grow within the Company - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in depth technical analysis effectively and
professionally, both verbally and in writing - An ability to excel at multi-tasking and manage time effectively, while adapting to change in priorities
and working with tight deadlines to meet our client and account team needs.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support Producer & Account team requests in the follow way:
- Perform Financial Analysis for current and future clients as requested. Analysis includes the
following: - Comparison of budgeted to actual claims performance, either with monthly or
quarterly financial reporting - Support internal teams in annual budgeting processes, including financial analysis, risk
analysis, plan change modeling, and other actuarial factors - Support other Financial Team members when discussing with clients, including C-suite
and HR teams - Listen in on calls for clients/prospects to gain deeper understanding of how their business is operating.
- Support the core internal teams in strategic decision-making conversations with clients by being an
actuarial subject-matter expert - Interpret results and effectively communicate, both written and oral, what these models and metric
outputs mean to Lockton clients and internal colleagues. - Performs other core discipline responsibilities and duties as needed
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related or mathematics program preferred, or equivalent education
and/or experience required
• Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlines
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of
client and company information
• Willingness and ability to work outside of normal business hours and travel as needed
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Legally able to work in the United States
