Lockton Affinity, in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Program Manager. The Program Manager position at Lockton Affinity reports to and works under the direction of the Program Executive. This associate is responsible for various levels of program responsibilities that range from minor to significant depending on the needs and complexities of client Programs. Included in these responsibilities may be annual budget development; coordinating the efforts of marketing, sales, underwriting and client solutions teams; insurance carrier negotiations; client and carrier relationship development; attendance at meetings, conventions, as well as other events. Additionally, the Program Manager will participate with new business opportunities and other ventures, as needed.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop the annual revenue budget for assigned programs.
- Assists in the development of effective marketing and service plans for each assigned program to achieve revenue goal.
- Monitor and report program revenue results.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with association, franchisor or other sponsor contacts.
- Understands the overall business, operations and needs of the client.
- Anticipates or responds in a timely manner to the requests and needs of the client, producer, and other associates.
- Protects the confidentiality of client information.
- Ability to build strong, dependable relationships with internal associates.
- Communicates in a positive manner to contribute to a professional, cohesive and dynamic work environment and leads program meetings as needed.
- Makes positive contribution to customer satisfaction and constantly strives to improve service to customer via the marketing, sales, underwriting, accounting, claims and client service processes.
- Ability to travel with overnight stays for client meetings, conventions and other business related events.
- Prepares internal and external written correspondence, reports, and analyses as needed.
- Ability to handle professional sales and marketing presentations at client locations and at industry functions.
- Makes timely insurance presentations to clients.
- Assist in the renewal process for larger accounts that require individual attention at renewal.
- Attend department, staff and company meetings, educational workshops, and social events.
- Accumulates required continuing educational credits to maintain current insurance license.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business related program or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Current insurance license or the ability to obtain and the ability to maintain active status going forward.
- Willingness and ability to expand knowledge and effectiveness in the commercial insurance industry by successful completion of extended classes and workshops related to insurance.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.
- Strong knowledge of commercial property/casualty coverages and services.
- Firm understanding of commercial rating concepts.
- Strong business acumen or ability to develop.
- Working knowledge, or ability to develop knowledge and understanding of Client Management systems such as CRM and Velocity.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or similar software applications, including spreadsheet and formula calculations.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines.
- Strong presentation skills including preparation and execution.
- Personal presence to interface with top management of other businesses, representing Lockton Affinity in the highest professional manner.
- High level verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with associates and clients at all levels of responsibility.
- Proven ability to communicate professionally, instill confidence and comfort with clients so that long term partner and business relationships are established.
- Demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
- Substantial experience in servicing the insurance needs of commercial accounts and Program clients.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems, including research and investigation skills.
- Continually meets and exceeds performance objectives, with proven commitment and confidence.
- Ability to follow internal controls and procedures.
