Key Responsibilities : Client Education and Support :
- Educate clients on management liability risks at all stages of company lifecycle (including M&A, public company readiness, etc.), claims processes, and best practices for risk management.
- Organize and conduct training sessions or webinars to keep prospects and clients informed on related issues, including legal and regulatory updates.Insurance Brokerage :
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders.
- Assess client needs and recommend appropriate insurance coverage options, tailored to their risk profile.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends, products, and market developments in the professional liability insurance space.Claims Advocacy :
- Act as the point of contact and advocacy for clients throughout the claims process.
- Assist clients with claims strategy.
- Coordinate with insurers, legal teams, and other parties involved in the claims process to ensure timely and fair resolution.
- Provide expert advice to clients on the merits of claims, potential exposures, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Analyze claims trends and outcomes, advising clients on strategies to minimize future liabilities and improve claims outcomes.Risk Consulting :
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for clients, identifying potential exposures related to corporate governance, executive management, and operational practices.
- Provide clients with strategic guidance on risk mitigation, crisis management, and governance best practices.
- Assist clients in understanding emerging liabilities and regulatory changes that may impact their business and / or available coverage.
- Develop and present risk management reports and recommendations to senior management teams.Business Development :
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, targeting new clients.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target markets, including executives, risk managers, and legal teams.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand market share.
- Participate in networking events, industry conferences, and forums to build brand awareness and establish thought leadership.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create compelling proposals and presentations for potential clients.
- Assist in cross-selling other risk management services to existing clients and drive overall revenue growth.
- Track and report on business development activities, including pipeline management, lead generation, and conversion rates.Position qualifications
- Juris Doctor
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in M&A insurance brokerage, claims management, legal or related fields.
- Deep understanding of risks facing Directors & Officers, corporate governance, and legal principles.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Licensed Property & Casualty Insurance Broker (or achieved within 90 days)
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours
