Given Lockton’s substantial growth and continued commitment to industry-leading innovation and client service delivery, we are seeking a leader to oversee our National Pharmacy Practice. The National Pharmacy Practice Leader will have responsibility to deliver on growth strategy, originate strategic initiatives, partner with regional leaders, develop Associates and cultivate executive-level relationships with our national vendor partners.
The National Pharmacy Practice Leader must be a high-energy benefits executive who is passionate about the business and excited about playing a critical role in the future growth and success of Lockton. This person must be a deep subject-matter-expert and “student” of the business such that s/he can observe the dynamics of the marketplace, extrapolate possible eventualities, and determine the proper course of action complementary to overall goals. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader for the enterprise with the influence management skills necessary to inspire and motivate the Associates by enabling their success with cutting-edge tools and IP. Additionally, s/he will be responsible for the go-forward strategy and evolving market needs.
The Senior Vice President, National Pharmacy Practice Leader, (“SVP”) will report to the Executive Vice President and National Specialty Practice Leader. S/He will work closely with the Operating Committee, Executive Committee, and Health and Welfare Leadership.

- Expand pharmacy practice growth, including originating new solutions and client opportunities with peers to sell new business and develop strategic client relationships.
- Oversee financial well-being of the practice, including budget planning, staffing model and overall profitability management.
- Develop and maintain executive level relationships with national vendor partners (initiatives, revenue maximization, and conflict resolution).
- Attract, retain and develop new staff to ensure the highest quality talent and expertise is being provided.
- Oversee pharmacy team including segment pharmacy consulting leaders, analytics team and Chief Clinical Officer and insure a consistent service delivery model across the practice.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders within Lockton, including but not limited to Actuary Practice, Clinical Advisory Practice, Complex Claims, Stop Loss, Health and Welfare benefit teams, Compliance and Government Affairs.
- Collaborate with all regions and key stakeholders to establish national priorities.
- Support Lockton initiatives as requested.
- Report back to Operating Committee on initiatives, investment requests, and outcomes
- Establish recognition both internally and externally as one of the key “go to” consultants in the marketplace on issues facing the industry.
- Develop supporting materials on industry topics for all pharmacy key stake holders.

- Able to leverage analytics beyond the data to provide actionable information, clear conclusions, and recommendations for the business.
- Comprehensive understanding of consulting, a deep strategic knowledge of how to create value in the pharmacy market, and ability to lead an organization through strategic transformation.
- Specific expertise with pharmacy consulting with employer and/or health plan experience preferred.
- Understands the nuances of the pharmacy benefits marketplace.
- Ability to effectively balance client work with firm-building activities and leadership initiatives.
- Impressive executive demeanor, team orientation and collaborative approach including strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
- A self-starter with a propensity towards action.
- Proven track record for managing multiple competing priorities.
- Experience in public speaking or teaching.
