What are the responsibilities and job description for the Print Coordinator position at Lockton?
Your Responsibilities
- Print buyer for client and internal projects.
- Prepares RFPs for client projects ranging from simple bulk-shipped trifolds to complex mailed kits.
- Creates project timelines and level sets expectations for 40 internal client service teams.
- Scheduling/knowledge of printers’ workloads and capacity.
- Coordinates proof approvals; attends occasional press checks.
- Confers with graphic designers to ensure file integrity, specs, etc.
- Maintains hard copy samples.
- Preserves existing print vendor relationships and explores new partnership opportunities when appropriate.
- Tracks and submits all print invoices.
- Prepares end-of-year reports.
- Provide excellent customer service to our teams and clients.
- Various other tasks to provide continuity for other team members as needed.
- Must be able to be onsite for press checks as needed.
- A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in advertising, marketing, mass communications or a similar field is preferred but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; exceptional customer service skills, particularly when in stressful situations.
- Comfortable with mandatory overtime during our busy season (August-November; includes late nights and one weekend day per week).
- Thrives in a production-based team environment.
- 3-5 years’ experience in the print industry.
- You know the difference between CMYK and PMS.
- You dream about paper weights, image file types, crops and bleeds, and offset vs. digital.
- The thought of dealing with the post office doesn’t give you nightmares.
- Experience with a sophisticated project management system such as Workfront.

- Successful track record handling a large volume of projects in a corporate setting.
- Must be process driven with attention to detail.
