Job Overview :
We are looking for owner operators that will do pick up and drops offs in and around the Los Angeles during the week.
We are also looking for a reliable and skilled Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver to operate 26-foot box trucks for long-distance deliveries. This position requires a dedicated, safety-conscious individual with strong driving experience and the ability to manage long-haul trips. A Class A CDL is preferred and will come with additional incentives, but not required. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, professional, and committed to delivering exceptional service while maintaining safety standards and meeting customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safe Operation : Drive 26-foot box trucks over long distances (OTR), ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
- Route Planning & Navigation : Follow pre-planned routes and schedules, using GPS and navigation tools to manage deliveries. Adhere to all company policies and DOT regulations for hours of service (HOS) and rest periods.
- Timely Deliveries : Ensure on-time delivery of goods, with a focus on quality customer service and minimizing delays.
- Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance : Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report any maintenance issues, and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Load Management : Properly load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring secure placement of goods to prevent damage during transport.
- Documentation & Compliance : Maintain accurate logs of trips, hours worked, mileage, and fuel usage in compliance with DOT and company regulations. Submit reports on time and accurately.
- Communication : Stay in regular contact with dispatchers, providing updates on progress, delays, or issues that may arise during transportation.
- Customer Service : Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, delivering a positive experience and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications :
Requirements
Class A CDL : Drivers with a Class A CDL will receive additional compensation and incentives but is not a requirment.
DOT Health card : Must have a Medical DOT card or able to obtain one.
Clean 5 year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), No accidents or major violations in the last 5 years.
No Felonies on your record
GPS & Tech Proficiency : Familiarity with GPS systems, route planning apps, and ELD (Electronic Logging Device) technology.
Customer Relations : Experience with direct customer interaction and handling customer requests or inquiries on the road.
Multi-State Travel : Comfort and experience with driving across state lines and navigating various road conditions and environments.
Communication : Ability to COMMUNICATE effectively
ELD : Familiar with ELD systems and HOS.
Properly secure freight for transit by using straps, pads, etc
