About The Position
Job Title: PhysicianJob Specialty: Emergency MedicineJob Duration: 13 monthsShift: Varied days; 7a-7p and nights 7p-7aGuaranteed Hours: To be discussed during the hiring processExperience: A minimum of 250 case logs in the last yearLicense: Active North Dakota license or IMLC preferredCertifications: PALS, ATLS, ACLS, ABEM (required)Must-Have:- Must be comfortable with all ages and procedures, including intubations, chest tubes, central lines, critical care, procedural sedation, airway management, obstetrics/gynecology and deliveries, adult and pediatric resuscitation.- The state of ND requires ATLS for any EM provider practicing in the state.Job Description:- Provide ongoing emergency medicine coverage with no gaps in service.- Work in a critical access hospital environment with support staff similar to a larger hospital.- Work in coordination with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) during peak hours from 10a-10p.- Manage an average of 1.5 patients per hour.- Utilize the Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.- Undergo orientation, with additional hours paid after 8 hours of training.- Prioritize comfort and ability to handle a wide range of medical procedures across all age groups.- Credentialing timeline typically takes up to 4 weeks, with temporary privileges available for faster onboarding.- Travel arrangements include flight, hotel, and rental car, with preferred hotel options available.
