About The Position
Job Title : Advanced Practice Caregiver Profession : NP / PA Specialty : Oncology Duration : Permanent Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 10 hours Experience : Experience in Oncology practice preferred License : Oregon license (or willing to obtain) required Certifications : Board Certified NP or PA required Must-Have : Residency within the immediate local area Description : Join our collaborative, growing Oncology service line dedicated to serving the community. Full-time, day shift position with four ten-hour shifts, no nights or weekends. Primarily outpatient with occasional inpatient consults. Services include radiation therapy, chemotherapy, medical oncology, cancer support services, and clinical trials. New infusion room, in-house pharmacy, nurse navigation, and radiation oncology lab. Work with a high caliber, collegial, outstanding nurse infusion team. Functions as a member of the clinical patient care team. Tasks and procedures consistent with the training and licensure of an advanced practice provider. Skills and Abilities : Demonstrates ability to use a personal computer and various software programs. Able to operate applicable office equipment. Exhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally with the public. Maintains confidentiality, and works independently with minimal supervision. Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance required. Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills. Exercises good judgment and effective problem-solving skills. Flexible, able to prioritize and address multiple responsibilities concurrently. Works effectively under stress and changing job requirements. Effective communication and team-building skills. Demonstrates organizational skills. Provides quality, evidence-based, compassionate care and effectively communicates with referring physicians. Team-oriented with a growth mindset. Excellent clinical acumen and interpersonal skills required. Efficiency with software interfaces required.Physical / Mental / Environmental Requirements : Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time. Needs adequate hearing and visual acuity, including color vision. Requires fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects. Able to use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating and transferring. Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids. Needs to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on phone.Compensation and benefits to be discussed at interview.
