About The Position
Job Title : Neonatology Nurse Practitioner Job Specialty : Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner Job Duration : Ongoing Shift : 2x12 Days, 24 hoursGuaranteed Hours : 8 hours per shift Experience : Preferred experience with high-volume delivery room settingsLicense : Board Certification Eligible Certifications : Other certifications are required (specific certifications will be discussed during the hiring process)Must-Have : Experience in a Level 3 NICU environment Job Description : - Permanent role providing Neonatology Nurse Practitioner coverage.- Work environment includes two facilities with Level 3 NICU settings.- Shifts may be 12 or 24 hours, typically from 7 am to 7 pm or 7 am to 7 am.- The role involves a mix of patients, ranging from smaller and more critical cases to less intensive care.- Responsibilities include unit-based support, attending deliveries, and performing procedures.- Physicians handle daily check-ins with patients, and collaborative work with neonatal physicians is essential.- An office is available for Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to use after hours and during the day.- Expected patient encounters per shift range from 10 to 22 in total.- No trauma level is specified at the facilities, but both operate as Level 3 pediatric care centers.- Estimated credentialing timeframe is between 60 to 90 days.
