About the Position:
We are seeking a qualified nurse practitioner (NP) to provide services in correctional facilities in North Carolina.
Responsibilities:
- Perform vital signs and medical history.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat illnesses and trauma.
- Refer patients beyond scope of training and experience.
- Manage chronic health problems.
- Prescribe medications and controlled substances.
- Administer immunizations.
- Provide counseling on drug use, diet, and medication effects.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and perform physical exams.
