Job Description:
The selected candidate will work in an outpatient setting at Maui Behavioral Health Wildfire Response, where they will see both children and adult patients. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a 0.6-1.0 FTE (24-40 hrs/wk) psychiatrist who can commit to seeing patients in the clinic at least 3 days a week, with the remaining days available for telehealth services. The typical caseload for this position will be 5-6 patients per day, with each initial evaluation lasting approximately 90 minutes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a strong foundation in psychiatry, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health disorders. A valid medical license and board certification in psychiatry are required. Additionally, candidates should have experience working with electronic medical records and be proficient in performing routine medical procedures.
