Position Overview As a Hybrid Veterinary Assistant & CSR, you will play a key role in both the clinical and administrative aspects of our practice. Your responsibilities will be split between assisting in patient care and ensuring excellent client communication and support.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations and procedures.
- Safely restrain pets, including cats, dogs, and occasional exotic animals.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized clinic, including exam rooms, patient cages, and equipment.
- Process lab specimens, update patient records, and log patient weights.
- Provide compassionate client support by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and processing payments.
- Educate clients on veterinary services, preventive care, medications, and wellness packages.
- Facilitate smooth appointment flow and reinforce veterinarian recommendations.
- Support additional administrative and clinical tasks as needed to enhance the efficiency of the clinic.
- Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in veterinary medicine.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated and dependable.
- Excellent cleaning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed.
- Team player with a passion for animal care.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds safely.
