JOB SUMMARY: The Valet Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling, parking, and retrieval of hotel guest vehicles.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Drive and park guest vehicles safely and in a timely manner
- Provide guest assistance and information, such as giving directions, assisting with luggage, informing guests of hotel amenities, etc.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
- Follow all hotel safety protocols to protect guests, staff, and vehicles
- Keep parking areas clean and orderly to ensure that space usage is maximized
- Monitor any valet parking department equipment and inform a manager or supervisor of any repairs needed.
- Be knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures and how to respond accordingly
- Report any unusual occurrences or requests to the Valet Supervisor or Manager

COMPETENCIES:
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written
Flexibility with schedule depending on needs of the hotel
Customer-focused with strong time management and problem-solving skills
REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must possess valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Knowledge of Michigan driving laws and vehicle usage (manual and automatic transmissions)
- Valet experience preferred but not required
- High School diploma or equivalent
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record – satisfactory criminal background screening required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
