Job Summary :

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Lead Barista to join our dynamic Homestead Team at the Milkhouse Coffee Shop. As the Lead Barista, you will be at the forefront of creating an exceptional customer experience by ensuring high-quality coffee and outstanding service. You will lead and manage a team of baristas, oversee daily operations, and foster a warm, inviting atmosphere. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment, all while maintaining a positive and supportive work culture. Weekend availability is required.

Essential Job Functions :

• Lead, inspire, and motivate the barista team, creating a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Provide training for new baristas on standard operating procedures, ensuring they adhere to quality and operational guidelines.
• Perform regular quality control checks to ensure consistency and excellence in all coffee offerings.
• Build strong relationships with regular customers, enhancing their loyalty to the brand.
• Schedule barista shifts, managing daily staffing needs to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage inventory, place orders with approved vendors, and ensure supplies are always stocked.
• Oversee daily operations of the Milkhouse Coffee Shop, ensuring all tasks and responsibilities are completed effectively.
• Develop creative menu specials that showcase seasonal or unique coffee offerings.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on espresso machines, grinders, and other brewing equipment to guarantee optimal performance.
