What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Analyst position at Lodging Hospitality Management?

POSITION SUMMARY: Take reservations via the telephone, mailed correspondence, rooming lists, and in-house requests. Enter the reservations and additional requests into the computer and block rooms for all guests; including VIP and convention groups.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Answer all incoming calls in a friendly and efficient manner. Provide guests with the requested information concerning the city, the property and its services. Obtain the necessary information from the guests and enter it into the reservation computer systems. Must be effective in sales and upselling.
- Build group blocks and control all group pickup and alert DORM if there are any concerns with pick up on blocks.
- Manage group distribution channels group POGS, Passkey, CVC, and any other group booking channel.
- Process all incoming reservations received via rooming lists, mailed or in-house correspondence, housing bureau forms, or facsimiles. Email confirmation and literature requests or reply via mail and administrative message when requested.
- Utilize various systems to assist in the preparation of the monthly forecast reports, monthly no show analysis, and demand calendar.
- Assist revenue manager in preparation for weekly Revenue strategy meeting.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
In addition to performance of the above essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions.
- Block special request reservations and suites.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized workstation.
- File daily reservations and other correspondence.
- Answer questions concerning reservations for associates of other departments including but not limited to Sales, Convention Services, and Executive Office.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Ability to be persuasive with telephone sales skills.
- Must have proficient skill in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- General knowledge of city and its attractions.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education:
High school or equivalent education required. One to two years in a high contact position.
Grooming:
All associates must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
FLSA Designation: non-exempt
OTHER:
Upon employment, employees are required to comply with the standards, rules and regulations, which may be established by Lodging Hospitality Management and be updated from time to time. Employees who violate Hotel rules or have irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
The Hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules, weekends, holidays and overtime to reflect the business needs of the property. Associates may also be required to attend group and/or department meetings in addition to the work shift as necessary. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
