What are the responsibilities and job description for the Partner & Country Head position at Lodha Strategy Consulting?
About Us
We work with some of the world’s most successful individuals and their families to help them solve complex problems and realise their goals beyond their core businesses. We bring strategic thinking and intelligence to these priorities, working with experts in a diverse range of fields to achieve excellent outcomes in areas such as health, legacy, education, sustainability, security, family governance, art, philanthropy and more.
The Role
As Country Lead, you will be the first hire in the US. You will play a central role in building our US presence, shaping our client service and modelling our culture. Client outreach and lead conversion will be important, but we do not expect you to generate leads: we are hiring for skills, and values, not for existing network.
As a Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to our clients, helping them to achieve their most important goals. Whether developing and executing a philanthropy strategy, designing a practical approach for optimising longevity, or identifying and implementing passion projects, you will be delivering real impact for your clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Client Acquisition: Meet prospective clients, introduce them to the business and our values, and explore how we can help them in order to establish lasting and trusted relationships. (You will not be expected to generate new client lead.)
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients and their families to ensure you can truly understand their needs and ambitions.
- Project & Team Leadership: Lead client projects end-to-end, managing internal teams and clients while maintaining a culture of excellence and collaboration. You will have team support on the ground in US, as well as from UK.
- Practice Area Development: Expand our knowledge, expertise and network in specific practice areas to improve our ability to serve clients.
- Problem-Solving Toolkit Development: Enhance and refine the firm’s methodologies and frameworks to increase client impact.
What We’re Looking For:
- Intellectual Rigor: You are intellectually sharp, constantly seeking to learn and grow across multiple fields. You thrive in complex environments, with the ability to quickly grasp new challenges and connect diverse pieces of information.
- Self-awareness and Empathy: You must have a deep understanding of others’ complexity, the ability to build and maintain relationships with many different types of people
- Strong sociability: You are energized by developing new connections and fascinated to understand new client needs
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: You’re proactive, results-driven, and have a passion for continuous improvement. Your creativity and bias towards action enable you to generate new ideas and drive business growth.
- Curiosity: You have a deep and insatiable curiosity across multiple domains—eager to challenge conventional wisdom and uncover opportunities.
- Structured & Strategic Thinking: You must have the ability to think methodically, approaching complex challenges with a focus on sustainable, long-term solutions.
- Discretion & Judgment: You place paramount importance on client privacy, exercising the highest level of discretion in all matters. Your excellent judgment allows you to provide nuanced, impartial advice, ensuring clients’ needs are met with the utmost care and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Education: An undergraduate degree from a top-tier, globally recognized institution (graduate education is desirable but not required).
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience, demonstrating a balance of intellect, empathy, and a strong track record in client acquisition. Experience in strategy consulting from a top-tier firm is a plus.
Why Join Us?
- Build something new and different: Launch and accelerate our US business, as well as contribute to the firm’s overall strategic direction.
- Collaborative Environment: Work closely with top-tier professionals in a collaborative environment with the opportunity to periodically meet and work with global colleagues.
- Competitive Compensation: Attractive compensation package, including base salary and bonus tied to business performance, designed to reward growth and success.
- Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with limited evening commitments; 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays, with an extra day added each year after your first anniversary, up to 5 additional days.
- Integrity: Work with a team of values-driven colleagues focused on doing right by their clients and each other.
