Produce Associate

Job Summary
The Produce Associate plays a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive the freshest and highest quality produce available. This position involves working in a fast-paced retail environment, where attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential. The Produce Associate will assist with inventory management, customer service, and maintaining the overall appearance of the produce department.

Duties

• Assist customers with inquiries regarding produce selection and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
• Ensure all produce is fresh, properly displayed, and rotated according to quality standards.
• Participate in shipping and receiving of produce shipments, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce department and prep area, including cleaning displays and removing expired items.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members, providing assistance as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; multilingual abilities are a plus.
• A passion for fresh produce and commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
