Retail Deli Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Retail Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all food safety standards are met and that the deli area is clean and well-stocked. Your ability to engage with customers and provide assistance will be key to enhancing their shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, following food safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli counter, equipment, and surrounding areas.
• Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and answering questions about products.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies as needed.
• Perform basic math calculations for pricing and portioning of deli items.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak hours.

Skills

• Proficiency in retail math and basic math skills for accurate pricing and inventory management.
• Strong food preparation skills with an understanding of food safety standards.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Previous experience in a grocery store is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
