We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join Loffredo Fresh Foods from the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids Area. This will be a remote, work from home, opportunity as long as you live in that area. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and most notably incrementally adding cases sold to your portfolio of accounts. You will ensure exceptional customer service, and drive sales growth. You will work closely with a Business Development Manager as well as the Director of Sales to achieve sustainable, profitable growth by understanding clients’ needs and delivering customized solutions and fostering long-term relationships by in person and electronic communications that contributes to the success of both our clients and Loffredo Fresh Foods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with foodservice operators, and key decision-makers.
- Sales Growth: Proactively identify sales opportunities and develop strategies to drive growth within existing accounts, including upselling new products and services.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with industry trends, foodservice products, and the competitive landscape to effectively advise and support clients in making informed purchasing decisions.
- Order Management & Fulfillment: Oversee order processing, ensure timely delivery, and resolve any issues related to product availability, delivery timelines, or quality concerns.
- Customer Support: Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Market Analysis: Analyze customer data and sales trends to identify opportunities for business expansion and improved customer service.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and meet client expectations.
- Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts, document performance metrics as assigned and monitored within our Fresh Tech CRM, while providing market feedback to Business Development Manager, and Director of Sales.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all business dealings comply with industry regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within the foodservice distribution or related industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the foodservice industry, including product offerings, supply chain management, and market dynamics.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel to customer locations as required.
