The Assistant Production Manager supports daily production operations by planning, organizing, and overseeing schedules to meet production goals. They are responsible for training team members on quality, safety, and operational procedures while actively monitoring and adjusting workflows to ensure deadlines are met. The role involves managing all aspects of manufacturing, including warehouse, logistics, inventory, and shipping. Additional duties include evaluating staff performance, implementing efficiency improvements, overseeing safety and quality programs such as HACCP, LOTO/OSHA, and GMP, and maintaining strong communication across departments to ensure smooth production processes.

What you’ll do:
- Assist in planning, organizing and overseen daily production schedules to meet targets goals
- Develop, maintain and monitor training plans and guides of quality, safety and application to team members
- Monitoring the production process and adjust workflows as necessary to ensure deadlines are met
- Manage directly and indirectly all manufacturing production, which includes warehouse, logistics, inventory/receiving and shipping
- Closely review and monitor the Maintenance Department to make certain all machinery is in good working order and the necessary parts are available to eliminate potential downtime
- Coordinate with QC team to ensure products meet safety, quality and regulatory standards
- Staff, develop, and control the Production Team, evaluate performance, and initiate corrective actions as required
- Create faster and more efficient ways of doing things, increase productivity, and cut overtime labor hours whenever possible
- Involvement in all aspects of quality and safety including, but not limited to, HACCP program evaluation, LOTO/OSHA regulations, GMP training, sanitation evaluation, working with operations personnel on quality and safety issues, and inspecting returned and incoming products
- Maintain close rapport with production to identify, solve and prevent problems affecting quality
- Communicate via email or written documents with Maintenance Department, QC Warehouse and Sales Retail regarding any repairs, supplier, order etc. that should be performed to keep production quality
- Perform all other duties as required
