We are currently seeking a Entry Level Maintenance Technician to join the team at our Norwalk, IA food processing location.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain production facilities and equipment such as processing, packaging, labeling of support machinery in/out building.
- Ability to learn how to repair, install, maintain, and adjust packing equipment to perform industrial machinery as well as troubleshoot.
- Maintain building facilities so that they are in optimal conditions for fellow employees to perform their jobs in a safe and timely manner.
- Follow and help develop the preventive maintenance program.
- Assist employees in resolving machine problems.
- Work with other mechanics to troubleshoot mechanical, electronic and control issues with machines.
- Willing to learn and/or attend training in mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform all other assigned duties inside and outside of the building.
Basic Skills Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Good mechanical aptitude with a desire to learn and a desire to learn new skills.
- Basic mechanical/electrical skills, ability to troubleshoot and the ability to use machine shop tools safely and effectively
- On the job training will be provided.
- The ability to perform tasks with and without supervision
- Must have good communication skills and the ability and desire to work well within a team environment
- Must be able to help train individuals and listen to department concerns
- Will be expected to follow lock-out/tag-out safety procedures – willing to learn and attend training
