Job Title: Operations Manager / Sales Opportunity - Private Event Space

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our private event space. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event management, possess excellent organizational skills, and be passionate about delivering top-notch customer service. This person will also have the opportunity to earn sales commission on upgrades for each event.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall operations of the event space, ensuring that all events run smoothly and efficiently.
- Develop and maintain all social event details; including, but not limited to, creating floor plans, all staffing needs, and vendor requirements.
· Maintain and update event documentation: including, but not limited to, schedules, timelines, insurance, AV items
- Collaborate with management on developing and implementing operational policies and procedures to enhance the guest experience.
- Coordinate with clients to understand their event needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Oversee event setup, breakdown, and logistics, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
· Manage and communicate staffing assignments for every event, ensuring all positions (bartenders, AV techs, security, cleaning crew) are covered.
- Monitor inventory and manage supplier relationships for catering, decor, and other event necessities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the event space and new offerings.
- Handle inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise before, during, and after events.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to ensure the event space remains competitive.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Required || College Degree Preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in event management or operations, preferably in a private event space or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
