What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bag Cutters with TWIC Card position at Lofton Staffing Services?
TWIC bag cutters needed asap!
Local coffee company is seeking 10 general laborers with TWIC to work as bag cutters on their production line. Duties are as follows:
Prepare intake line area to receive incoming shipments of coffee- Verify container numbers match manifests
- Receive incoming shipments of coffee either bulk or bag, cut seals and dispense the product into hopper
- Climb into the container using a ladder to shake out liners inside of containers to extract leftover coffee beans into hopper
- Clean up intake area, including sweeping, shoveling and operating a blowing machine
- Provide backup support to re-bagging and rework departments as required
- May be requested to load and unload containers and to throw coffee sacks (up to 100lbs) into containers on down time if they are slow
- Adhere to all quality procedures and review process to assure conformity to these procedures and report any deviations to management
- Perform other related duties as assigned per management
Qualifications
Must have an active TWIC card-no exceptions!- Must have a valid driver's license and your own vehicle to get to the site (due to the distance from the entry gate to the warehouse)
- Must have steel toe boots
- Must pass drug screen and background check
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry objects up to 100 lbs
- Must be able to stoop, bend, walk and stand
- Must be willing to work in hot and cold conditions
- Must be comfortable wearing PPE
- Must be comfortable with noise in a plant setting, it can be very loud!
- Must be able to work in potential dusty areas
Lofton offers benefits, including medical, dental, vision and direct deposit. Pay rate of $12.00 per hour. Two shifts available are:
6am-2pm- 2pm-10:30pm
