We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated servers to join our team at The Delaney House! No experience necessary, all on the job training. Come work in a fun and fast paced environment.
Job purpose
The Banquet Server is responsible for serving food and beverages, helping
setup the event space and cleaning up the venue once the event is complete.
Our banquet staff must have great customer service to give our guests a
wonderful experience from start to finish.
Duties and responsibilities
Dressed clean and tidy (Clean, ironed, and fresh uniform)
Reliable transportation & punctuality is a must
Assist with event preparation, setup and closing, includes but not limited to
setting up and packing away tables, chairs, table cloths and place settings
Support other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsible for tasks given to you by your captain and supervisor, table
section of guests assigned to you, special notes gone over in meetings, side-
work etc.
Adhere to safety and quality regulations along with service standards
Proper prioritizing of duties given.
Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area.
Maintain composure in a fast paced environment.
Accurately take orders, sometimes adhering to guests with severe food
allergies.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of your work area behind the
scenes and on the floor.
Maintain a positive, friendly, can do attitude to both guests and co-workers
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
Proven work experience as a banquet server or similar role.
Courteous and attentive to guests
Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job such as staying on your feet,
climbing stairs, and carrying heavy objects.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
Relevant training and/or certifications as a banquet server
Required to serve Alcoholic beverages (18 )
