What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Bookkeeper position at Logan Bank and Trust?
The Assistant Bookkeeper is responsible for being a contributing member of the bookkeeping department in daily workflow processing and providing customer service to Bank customers. Communicating effectively with other team members to solve daily processing problems and completing daily assignments within deadlines is an expectation of the position. Basic knowledge of banking is preferred to support other positions within the department.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by responding to calls or emails from customers concerning their accounts
- Support customers with internet banking and mobile banking issues
- Verify Holds and Stop Payments
- Support wire transfer processing and verification
- Notice and Letter processing
- Dormant Accounts
- Account Analysis
- Support accounts payable processing
- Process incoming and outgoing mail including trips to local post office
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of Bookkeeping or Banking experience preferred
- Analytical, logical thought process and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to multitask; work under pressure
- The ability to communicate, both written and oral at an effective level, is required.
- Basic understanding and use of computer software, such as Excel, Word and E-mail is a prerequisite.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
