Case Manager- CCCAP
Logan County Department of Human Services
Full Time position: Logan County manages CCCAP for 3 counties, Cheyenne, Kit Carson, and Logan. The case manager will work with child care applicants/households to explain CCCAP and a variety of other assistance programs, determine eligibility for the CCCAP program, and explain program eligibility rules and operations to applicants/participants. Work with child care providers to help them solve payment problems, attendance tracking issues, build good relationships, make sure care is opened and closed appropriately, anticipate necessary changes that may be required, and ensure proper timely payment to providers. Work with the state to help solve system problems, to offer suggestions to improve CHATS, to explain and offer
suggestions on ways to improve the application and eligibility process, and to work with the state to revise CCCAP rules. The case manager also determines SNAP and Medicaid eligibility for Logan County CCCAP households. In addition, one could be expected to explain CCCAP rules and the operation of CCCAP to various community groups and providers’ groups. Case managers also represent Logan County on various boards, committees, and in state work and task groups.
1. Education and Experience:
A. High school diploma or GED
B. Two (2) years of experience performing above or related duties;
OR
C. Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
2. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Some knowledge of: accounting, problem solving, computer data entry, childcare operations within the community, organizational skills, ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, computer technology, ability to use or learn a variety of application software programs, community service resources, activities, and purpose, county policies and procedures, laws, and legal processes related to human services programs and ability to perform analysis relative to these policies, procedures, laws, and processes,
Ability to: effectively interview people to gather information, engage in conceptual thinking and creative problem solving, get along well with coworkers and form good working relationships, work with relevant professional and community-based organizations; federal, state, county, and municipal agencies; private sector businesses and others
Hourly wage: $19.4331 per hour plus benefits to include: Health, Dental, Vision, Disability Insurance; Retirement; and Paid time off (PTO).
