About the Role
Logan County Schools seeks a talented and versatile Communications Specialist to join our team on a part-time stipend basis.
Main Responsibilities
- Create and manage engaging content across various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, and Bluesky.
- Develop and implement graphic design to enhance district communications.
- Attend school and district events as a photographer to capture key moments.
- Manage urgent emergency one-calls, texts, and emails at late and early hours.
- Administer the Send-It One-Call/text/emails system.
- Collaborate with the superintendent on news media relations and press releases.
- Communicate with social media directors at each school.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with varied social media platforms.
- Strong writing, graphic design, and content creation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.).
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in social media content creation and management.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with different stakeholders.
- Knowledge of web design is a plus.
Time Commitment and Pay
This position requires a typical time commitment of up to 5 hours per week, with a pay rate of $19.00/hour.
