LDG Search is conducting a professional search to identify a Superintendent with Trace Creek Construction. Superintendent is a leadership role which provides an opportunity to guide teams, solve complex problems, and make key decisions critical to the success of projects.
Founded in 1993, Trace Creek Construction is an industry leader that provides Construction Management, General Contractor, and Design/Build services throughout Kentucky and the region.
Desired Job Experience and Expertise
- High-level experience in commercial construction as general superintendent
- Experience leading teams and has demonstrated they can coordinate people, manage
- personalities, and foster a collaborative environment.
- Stakeholder Management- Experience with internal and external stakeholders,
- managing expectations, and building relationships.
- Capable of making informed decisions under pressure and steering their project
- team in the right direction.
- Resilience: able to remain composed and productive under stress and be able to
- adapt to setbacks without being discouraged.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties, and be able to establish a timeline for completion.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Oversee daily operation of construction projects
- Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed
- Communicate project progress with clients and project managers
- Manage subcontractors and construction site organization
- Project planning and scheduling for coordination of labor, equipment, materials,
- and subcontractors
Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the commercial construction industry
- A degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering is desired,
- but not required.
- Promote safety practices and procedures
- Organized, detail oriented, and deadline driven
- Experienced with scheduling suppliers and subcontractors
- Strong communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to read construction documents
- Familiarity with regulatory construction standards

Education & Experience
Qualified candidates preferably will have a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience as a lead project manager or 10 years construction experience with minimum 5 years of project/site management experience
