JOB GOAL :
To lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive and equitable K-4 curriculum that aligns with state and national standards fosters student engagement, and supports diverse learning needs.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT :
12-month contract. Salary and work year to be in accordance with the Administrative Compensation Package.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :
Oversee and administer all federal programming for elementary and secondary levels.Make recommendations for the budget and annual appropriations in areas relating to instruction.Attend all Administrative Council meetings and either chair or serve on all curriculum committees.Assist in developing district-wide policies concerning the instructional program.Assist in recruiting, selecting, evaluating, and assigning teachers.Coordinate selecting, ordering, and distributing all textbooks and supplementary materials used in the District's instructional program.Act on field trip requests.Working cooperatively with other administrators, provide leadership, and coordination of instructional services and programs, which may include special education, gifted program, intervention, and summer school programs.Provide leadership and coordination of in-service programs for professional staff.Coordinate and evaluate pilot programs.Provide services in the professional development of new teachers and other teachers demonstrating such a need.Provide for the development, implementation, revision, and continuous evaluation of the instructional program.Provide leadership for the District's media / library services.Assume responsibility for all courses of study development and revision in the district.Coordinate all District's Leadership Team(DLT) activities.Work cooperatively with the Instructional Technology Coordinator in planning staff development in the area of technology in the curriculum.Attend all meetings of the Board of Education and make recommendations and / or presentations as requested by the Superintendent.Approve and sign (or co-sign) all textbook and other instructional materials requisitions.Supervise the Technology Specialist, Talented and Gifted Program, and work cooperatively with the Director of Student Services (AP / CCP).Supervise all curriculum activities pertaining to the Ohio Revised Code.Act as the District's Homeless / Foster Liason.Dissaggregate all state test scores and provide information to district administrators and the board of education.Coordinate all literacy mandates and initiatives, including the Third Grade Reading Guarantee, Science of Reading requirements, and Dyslexia Law.Work in the Ed Steps / One Plan platform of ODEW.Write and manage State, Federal, and Local Grants.Coordinate all aspects of Professional Intern placements.Attend all Department Head meetings and supervise elementary BLT meetings.Attend all Local Professional Development Committee meetings.Lead the district mentorship program collaboratively with the Director of Student Services.Coordinate the activities of special elementary teachers, i.e, Art, Music, and Physical Education.Work collaboratively with the Director of Student Services to develop and maintain digital learning formats for the district.Assume other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Superintendent.Adopted :
