5th Grade Math Teacher

Logan-Magnolia is a thriving school district who sits in SW Iowa about 35 miles north of the Council Bluffs/Omaha metro area. Due to resignations and teacher internal movement, We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, supportive, and engaging classroom environment where students are encouraged to reach their full academic and social potential. This role includes planning and delivering lessons for math, while fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Build relationships that change student lives for the better!

• Be a team member that works well with others to Inspire students. 

• Develop and implement daily lesson plans in accordance with state and school curriculum standards.

• Teach core subjects to students.

• Create a positive, supportive, and safe classroom culture that supports student learning and growth.

• Assess student progress regularly using a variety of assessment tools. 

• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.

• Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and administration to improve instructional practices.

• Manage classroom behavior and implement effective discipline strategies.

• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events.
