JOB PURPOSE:
To provide respiratory care treatments and diagnostic services to patients, assist with training of staff and students, review and evaluate policies and procedures, conduct quality assurance activities and assist director with day-to-day administrative functions of running the department. To consult with physicians and other staff to recommend appropriate plan of Respiratory Care.
Qualifications
Certification:
- Must also hold a current license as Licensed Respiratory Therapist from the West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care.
Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities.
- To perform in this position satisfactorily requires completion of a Respiratory Therapist training program, credentialing as Registered Respiratory Therapist training program, credentialing as Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care or eligible to take the Written Registry exam and Clinical Simulation exam.
