Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a positive learning environment for students, assisting with daily classroom activities, and fostering the development of each child's social, emotional, and cognitive skills. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and education to children in our program.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Supervise and engage with students during classroom activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Support classroom management by maintaining order and promoting positive behavior among students.
- Provide individualized attention to students as needed, particularly those requiring additional support.
- Help with the care of infants and toddlers, including diaper changes, feeding, and nap time supervision.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized classroom space.
Skills
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Experience working with students in an educational setting.
- Strong classroom management abilities to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Background in caregiving, particularly with infants and toddlers.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support student needs.
