Job Description: Certified
- Instructor for Construction Pathway at the career center, students grades 9-12.
- Contract is for 185 days but will be prorated for the remainder of the 2024-25 SY.
Job Requirements:
- Candidates must possess, or qualify for either a Technology Education 5-12, CTE: Trade and Industrial: Building Trades 5-12, or equivalent Workplace Specialist license (requires at least 4,000 hours of verified industry experience).
- Ability to plan, instruct, and manage the classroom environment.
- Coordinate and develop program needs, including items such as curriculum, materials, equipment, and certifications.
- Maintain and facilitate connections between Century and our community stakeholders, including local industry partners.
- Support and implement school corporation and building level policies.
- Perform all other reasonably assigned duties.
- Upon offer, applicant must complete and clear drug screen and expanded criminal history background check for school personnel as required by Indiana state law.
Job Qualifications:
- Applicant must possess a strong knowledge of construction practices
- Experience in construction and onsite builds is preferable
- Familiarity with NCCER certifications, especially carpentry
- Strong communication skills in order to successfully interact with students, staff and parents
- Knowledge of technology needed for successful classroom integration
