What are the responsibilities and job description for the Biller - Patient Financial Services position at Logansport Memorial Hospital?
Job Description:
- Ensures the appropriate information required for each claim is transmitted to the correct payor on a daily basis
- Monitors the status of all outstanding accounts and performs the appropriate follow-up needed to resolve the account
- Receives and answers inquiries from patients, third party payors and other parties regarding claims, charges and/or billing issues
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous hospital/physician billing experience preferred and previous Medicare/Medicaid billing preferred
- Computer experience required
