What are the responsibilities and job description for the MT or MLT - Lab position at Logansport Memorial Hospital?
Job Description:
- Ability to perform a variety of Laboratory tests, many of which may be of a high complex nature
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients spanning newborn through geriatric
- Professional application of the principles, theories, and techniques of medical technology are used to produce test results, which aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient
Job Qualifications:
- Graduate of 2 year MLT or graduate of 4 year MT program
- 1 year clinical experience under the supervision of a Pathologist in a Laboratory
- Certified or will sit for Certification Exam within 6 months from date of hire
FTE: 1.0 (80 hrs/bi-weekly) in main lab, Shift is 2p-10:30p, M-F with holiday and weekend rotation
