What are the responsibilities and job description for the PA/NP -Hospitalist position at Logansport Memorial Hospital?
Job Description:
- Our ideal candidate will be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician assistant with a passion for hospital medicine who will join an established hospitalist team.
Will provide care to adult patients on the medical floor and ICU, as well as co-management of surgical patients.
We believe in a team-based approach to patient care, with our Advanced Practice providers working in close collaboration with the attending physician.
While experience is a plus, new grads are welcome to apply as we provide a thorough onboarding process with physician mentoring.
- Primary responsibilities on night shift are admissions and cross cover. Average census for cross cover is 15 patients. Average admissions overnight are 2-4 patients. No procedures required.
Job Qualifications:
- Master of Science Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant from accredited school
- Certification as Family Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant
- Licensed and in good standing with the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau
- Current State and Federal Controlled Substance Certification or Equivalent
- BLS & ACLS Certifications
- Active member of the dependent practitioner medical staff in good standing
- Previous experience as a PA or NP/Hospitalist preferred
FTE Status: .75 (60 hrs/bi-weekly) shift is 7p-7a Flexible scheduling, with the provider expected to cover 7 days out of a 21 day block (expectation would be to work every 3rd weekend).
