Job Description:
- The OB staff nurse is a registered professional nurse who is responsible
for nursing care of the neonatal, antepartum, intrapartum, and
post-partum patient in the Family Birth Center - Meets the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and families
- Maintains standards of practice, promotes collaboration among discipline, and
performs duties and responsibilities in a quality manner adhering to all
hospital policies and procedures - The Registered Nurse must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to
the age of the patients they serve - The Registered Nurse must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development in
infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and possess
the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and
interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's
requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the
care needed as described in the unit's policies and procedures
Job Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current Indiana Registered Nurse license
- Labor and delivery experience preferred
- NRP, STABLE, and ACLS certified
FTE Status: .9 (36 hrs/wk) 6p-6a Weekend/holiday rotation
