Heavy Equipment Operator/Portable Rock Crushing

Job Overview
LogCo Industries is a small family owned portable rock crushing business that operates in beautiful Eastern Oregon. (Mainly Baker and Grant County), You can't beat the views we have on most of our jobs. We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator (mainly Front End Loader and Excavator) to work on site at the rock crushing pits. Possibility of operating D8 Dozer as well. Monitoring the crushing plant (Cone, Jaw, Screen) while feeding the plant is a crucial part of this job as well.

The ideal candidate for the job must be hard working, a self-motivator, and have the ability to work flexible or long hours away from home as we are usually working in remote locations about 45 minutes from the nearest town. Overtime hours available weekly with this job. $2/Hour pay increase after two months of proficient work. Crew typically stays on site or near job sites after hours in personal camp trailers. Big plus if you have your own camp trailer. Operator is expected to take ownership in equipment they are in and perform routine greasing and maintenance to achieve optimal performance at the rock crushing pit. Experience working around a portable rock crushing plant is ideal but not necessary. On the job MSHA training will be completed upon hiring.

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as front end loader, excavator and dozer to feed rock crushing plant and load out trucks.
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and rock crushing plant to ensure optimal performance.
• Change out conveyor belts as needed.
• Keep pit floor clean.
• Follow MSHA safety protocols and guidelines.

Skills

• Proficient in heavy equipment operation.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Good communication skills for teamwork and collaboration on job sites.
• Attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 65 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
